About me and the blog
Hi,
My name is Logan and thank you so much for joining me. I'm from a small town in Indiana and currently, winter is still here and I'm chomping at the bit to get gardening and landscaping. I will do my best to update at least weekly, if not biweekly, with what is currently going on at our small town farm.
I do live in town, so my land area is small, but I'm doing my best to maximize my space. Since Indiana is more north, our growing season is somewhat shorter, which is why I utilize some different techniques to get my plants started. I am not an expert, but I read a lot and learn from experience. I have grown up in farming communities, so my information comes from a lot of farmers and greenhouse specialists. I like to be simplistic and do my best to avoid harmful chemicals that really affect the food that we grow and eat.
In addition to the small town farm, I also am an amateur woodworker. Through a lot of experience with my dad, I tinker and play with woodworking when I'm not busy with the landscaping and small farm. From toys to signs to furniture, I do a little bit of everything with any wood I can get my hands on.
As for the goal this year, I want to branch out and plant some new items. Corn, raspberries, blueberries, and grapes are what I'm thinking. In addition to these, I'll be planting lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes, peppers, green beans, and strawberries. So, hopefully we have another great year like last year and we grow some amazing crops.
